I seriously cannot think of better book/movie to get the series treatment. The Haunting Of Hill House is from a 1959 book that is widely regarded as one of the scariest books ever

Right now the plan is for ten episodes to drop on October 12th on Netflix. This may be one of the most epic things to happen in horror ever. This reminds me of The Walking Dead and Ash Versus The Evil Dead debuting right around Halloween time.
It's tough to do a haunted house movie in the traditional 90 minutes that Hollywood movies have, but if the good seasons of American Horror Story taught us anything, a long slow build can be amazing.
Right off the top I can say that director Mike Flanagan has the perfect touch having directed Gerald's Game, Oculus and Hush (look that one up, it's awesome.
After viewing the trailer, it's easy to see how this could end up being something that could go on for many years.
