The Walking Dead Sets Return Date

Can we take a moment and talk about how the pandemic has distorted time? A quick look at IMDB shows that the last episode of The Walking Dead aired April 5th. It seems like it was more than 18 months ago. None of this seems fresher than Beta's face at this point.
So on October 4th, we get the FINAL episode of the season. The news dropped as part of San Diego Comic-Con this weekend and I would say it's welcome. I still get chills when I hear that Walking Dead theme music and I'm happy to just have a horror series on television.
We still don't know how far the series will take us into the Walking Dead universe, or if it will continue past the point of the comic books. I would love to see it go on for as long as possible, which is something that almost pains me to say. I was a HUGE fan of the Ash Versus The Evil Dead t.v. show (and EVERYTHING Evil Dead before that) but the show felt like it ran out of ideas near the end. The Walking Dead universe could continue to offer new characters, situations, and even locations (I've often wondered why they have done something like "The Walking Dead: Red Sun Rising" with a cool Chinese location and characters). Of course, "Fear The Walking Dead" is a step in this direction, but it's a great big world, with lots of places to run to.
So yeah, we could all use something to look forward to, so let's raise a glass to the return of The Walking Dead with a few extra moments of the season 10 finale.
Here's a bonus. The "Fear The Walking Dead" trailer.
