So, I find this immensely interesting; can the new Ghostbusters even come close to capturing the magic of the first two?
I'm somewhat of the opinion that (like Star Wars) we saw Ghostbusters as kids or younger people and we had no expectations. I loved every minute of it, but when I walked in I was expecting more of a straight-up comedy so all the extra stuff was really fun.
Then we had the last Ghostbusters movie. So here's the question, was that Ghostbusters really that bad, or did it suffer from an attack from all of the incels spewing their nonsense on the fact that the main Ghostbusters were all female?
It's going to be interesting to see because you're not getting your Ghostbusters back. Harold Ramis is dead in real life. What you are going to get is the "spawn of Egon" deciding to take up the mantle of Ghostbusters. So, essentially instead of an all-female cast, you will probably get an all younger cast, some of which may or may not have the comic sensibilities of the Ghostbusters you know and love.
